An Airbnb turnover resets the whole unit between guests: strip and remake the beds, clean and restock the bathrooms and kitchen, take out the garbage, vacuum and mop, then check the safety items. In Toronto, hosts must also leave emergency contact details, 911 instructions and exit diagrams. Super Fancy Cleaners bills $35/hr per cleaner, 4-hour minimum.

The City of Toronto allows short-term rentals (under 28 consecutive days) only in a host's principal residence, and the host must register. A whole home can be rented for up to 180 nights per calendar year. The City also requires hosts to post their registration number on every listing, to collect the 6% Municipal Accommodation Tax, and to give guests emergency contact, 911 and exit-plan information.
Other GTA cities have their own rules, so check your municipality before listing. This is general information, not legal advice.
Health Canada advises reading and following every product label, never mixing household chemical products, and keeping rooms ventilated with open windows or exhaust fans. Bleach must never be mixed with glass cleaners, other ammonia products or acids such as vinegar, because the mixtures can produce toxic gases.
